I am in Hawaii this week doing research for book 2 in my Sand and Sea Hawaiian Mystery Series – Murder at Sunrise. This is very much a working vacation and I have been writing most every day but what a beautiful view from which to tell a story about life on the islands. For those of you who have read book 1 in the series – Murder at Dolphin Bay – the focus of this story is on the seniors Luke and Lani have befriended and the comedy which ensues when a group of women in their later years set out to find a killer after one of their own is murdered at a sunrise ceremony being held on the beach during the summer solstice.
Murder at Dolphin Bay is currently available for purchase and Murder at Sunrise will publish on June 17 and is currently available for presale.

We visited Hawaii once, and it was the best vacation we ever had.

Have really enjoyed your posts. Love the pictures. Have always wanted to visit Hawaii. So I am, second hand, appreciate that. My cousin was over there with her husband when he was stationed there years ago. She said she loved it. Her things was the volcano areas. She didn’t show us much beach scenes. But still. Murder at Dolphin Bay was wonderful. I’ve preordered Murder at Sunrise and looking forward to reading it. I visited Hawaii once with my oldest daughter and granddaughter … we had a lovely time.

I love Hawaii having many wonderful memories of Kona, Oahu, Poipu Beach, and Lahaina…sunsets, sunrises, cool breezes, and big hurricanes…spam, poi, local beer, and octopus…Aloooooha!
Hawaii is a beautiful place to visit. I haven’t been there in too many years! Have a safe journey home to cooler weather!
